Terminus Festival 2025: The Darker & Louder Return to Calgary

Terminus Festival is back to torch Calgary’s summer with four days of pounding beats, goth-glam, and sweat-slicked underground vibes. From July 24–27, 2025, Dickens will transform into a darkwave sanctuary for misfits, music nerds, and leather-clad dancers who know that synth is religion.

Headliners? Oh, just industrial royalty. Front Line Assembly is dropping a special Wax Trax! era set—expect snarling beats, rusted machinery samples, and the glorious stench of classic industrial. Meanwhile, Twin Tribes is ready to give your black-clad heart the darkwave fix it craves, making moody synths very sexy again.

New Blood, Dark Gems: The Must-See Acts You Can’t Miss

Beyond the big names, Terminus 2025’s undercard is a vampire’s buffet of sound. Among the freshly announced:

  • Dancing Plague: Body-moving, doom-tinged EBM that’ll have you grinding on strangers you’ll never see again.

  • Sacred Skin: California’s darkwave saviors, conjuring neon-lit heartbreak anthems you’ll be humming in the Uber home.

  • The Foreign Resort: Danish post-punk that lands like a synth-lashed Joy Division with cinematic gloom.

  • Ghost Twin: Haunting, immersive electro-noir visuals + soundscapes that feel like an arthouse horror scored by Fever Ray.

They’re joining an already obscenely stacked roster: DeVision Redux, Matte Blvck, Assemblage 23, Geneva Jacuzzi, Glass Spells, Traitrs, Madeline Goldstein, Bestial Mouths, Unit:187, and more.

Why This Is the Don’t-Miss Festival for the Beautifully Damned

Terminus isn’t some cookie-cutter EDM circus or a sterile stadium affair—it’s intimate, sweaty, alive. Dickens in Calgary has always given the fest a raw, in-your-face vibe where you’re five feet from your heroes while synth bass rumbles your ribcage.

This isn’t just music. It’s a four-day communion for the goth, industrial, and post-punk faithful, with a soundtrack that spans dark electronic, snarling industrial classics, and post-punk melancholy you can actually dance to.

If you’ve ever wanted to lose yourself under strobing lights next to folks in PVC, corpsepaint, or simply all-black everything, Terminus 2025 is your church. Calgary is calling. Don’t forget your eyeliner.
