Get ready for one of Calgary’s most colourful weekends! Each year, the weekend after the Stampede, downtown comes alive with music, food, and dancing for Fiestaval, celebrating Latin American culture in all its vibrancy.
This year’s festival runs July 18–20, 2025, in the beautiful, brand-new Eau Claire Plaza. Expect three full days of fun with over 30 authentic food vendors, a bustling artisan market, dedicated kids area, and lively beer gardens. Friday, July 18 (11 AM–11 PM):
DJs Camaleon and Camilo keep the energy up.
Mariachi Internacional Sol Azteca brings classic Mexican flair.
Multiple salsa showcases and local favourite Distrito Salsa (Calgary).
Panamerican Highway (Edmonton) and Amor a Mexico add Latin rhythm and showmanship.
Saturday, July 19 (11 AM–11 PM):
A family-friendly Zumba Master Class to start the day.
Dance groups from Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Mexico showcase beautiful traditional moves.
Bands like Havana Club Band, Klave Latin Band, and the massive 12-piece Sonora Kings from Vancouver bring big live sounds.
Reggae en español with Antidoping from Mexico.
Evening capped by Mariachi Internacional Sol Azteca and DJ Camilo keeping the party going.
Sunday, July 20 (11 AM–10 PM):
Another Zumba Master Class to get you moving.
Mariachi Internacional Sol Azteca returns for midday magic.
Dance Fusion, Manny y su Esquina Latina (Edmonton), Folklore Salvadoreño, and Peruvian Rhythms Society showcase incredible Latin American traditions.
Tribute to salsa legend Frankie Ruiz by Frankie Hidalgo.
Orquesta Son Romero from Edmonton, Asi es Colombia, Pasión Boliviana, and Estampida Gaitera deliver spectacular music and dance performances to close out the weekend.
